SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University women's soccer team defeated the University of Texas – Permian Basin 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
ASU improves to 9-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in conference action.

- The Belles got off to a slow start in the first half until the 29th minute, when Chloe Souza found Avery McNeme in the crease, who hit the center of the net to give the Belles a 1-0 lead.
- The Falcons came out quick in the second half to tie the match, 1-1, off a goal by Kalia Beckwith.
- Late into the second half, Ally Warren took a shot that hit off the hands of the keeper right in the direction of McNeme who kicked the rebound shot and got it right over the keeper's shoulder to give the lead back to ASU, 2-1.
- The Blue and Gold outshot the Falcons, 29-3, with 15 landing on target.
Key Players:
- McNeme led the offense with 10 shots and five landing on target with two goals.
- Warren notched six shots with four landing on target, while Trenadey Scott had five shots and two on target.
- Gabby Villagrand tallied three shots with one on target and Kiah Benham had two shots and one on goal.
- Three other players tallied one shot with one on goal to assist the Belles offense.
- Kira Miller recorded two saves on the day against just one goal.
