SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University Belles Soccer team returns home this weekend, as they host Lubbock Christian and University of Texas – Permian Basin for Homecoming. ASU plays LCU on Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m., followed by UTPB on Saturday, October 12 at 1 p.m., respectively.

The Game:
This will be the first time in school history that Angelo State and Lubbock Christian have ever played each other. LCU currently sits at a 6-3 overall record and a 3-1 conference record. ASU currently sits at 3-0-1 in conference and 7-1-1 overall.

Since 2006, ASU and UTPB have played each other 15 times with ASU leading the all-time series 11-2-2. The last time these two teams played each other was on October 17, 2018 where the Belles traveled to Odessa, Texas and beat the Lady Falcons 4-1. UTPB currently sits at a 0-7 overall record and a 0-4 conference record.

Last Time Out:
The Belles traveled to Wichita Falls to face the Midwestern State Lady Mustangs last Thursday, October 3 and won the game, 2-0. Both goals were scored late in the second half by
Reagan Urbany, who scored her first two collegiate goals of her career.
Trenadey Scott and
Avery McNeme helped with assists for Urbany to score against the Mustangs.

ASU traveled to Oklahoma City to play Oklahoma Christian on Saturday, October 5 and won the game 2-0. At the half, ASU led the game 1-0 after an early goal made by
Kiah Benham with an assist from
Valerie Solis. The Belles would continue to lead the game, as they extended their lead over the Eagles.
Trenadey Scott, with the assist from
Avery McNeme, shot a goal midway through the second half.

Notable Players:
True freshman
Valerie Solis added another goal to her repertoire this past weekend. She still leads the offense so far with five goals for the season, four assists, and 12 points. She is currently shooting a .400 shooting percentage.
Trenadey Scott has added another goal to put her that much closer to breaking the all-time record for ASU. She is now sitting 11 goals away from breaking the career all-time shot record.
In the net,
Kira Miller has recorded 822:45 minutes throughout the 2019 season. She has tallied 30 total saves and has a .833 save percentage. She has a .643 goals against average with only six goals allowed. She has helped shutout six opponents and has a 7-1-1 record.

The Belles will travel to Canyon, Texas and Portales, New Mexico, to take on the Lady Buffs and the Lady Greyhounds. First kick is slated for 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 and 1 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on Saturday, October 19, respectively.
