Belles Tie Dustdevils on Saturday

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University women's soccer team tied with the Texas A&M International University Dustdevils on Saturday afternoon, 3-3.

The Belles improve to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference action.

In Case You Missed It:
  • Seven minutes into the first half, Ally Warren received a pass up the middle from Emily Keoughan to place the ball off the goalkeeper's hands and hit the back right corner of the net to give ASU a 1-0 lead.
  • Less than 30 seconds into the second half, Keoughan found Trenadey Scott in the middle of the field to push the ball past the goalkeeper's shoulder to hit the left middle of the net to give ASU a 2-0 lead.
  • The Dust Devils ended the Belles shut out quickly after by answering with a shot less than 30 seconds after ASU scored to trail 2-1.
  • In the 76th minute of the game, Kiah Benham was awarded a free kick and Kylie Hampton rushed in for the rebound to place the ball off the goalkeeper's hands to hit the bottom right corner to give the lead back to the Belles, 3-2.
  • In the 84th minute, the Dustdevils scored to tie the game 3-3 to force overtime and neither team was able to come through for the victory.
Key Players:
  • Warren, Scott, and Hampton all registered goals for the Belles.
  • Avery McNeme tallied six shots with three landing on target, while Benham notched three shots with two landing on goal.
  • Keoughan recorded two assists for the Belles along with three shots and one on goal.
  • Kira Miller played all 110 minutes of the game recording two saves.

The Belles head to Midwestern State University and Oklahoma Christian on Thursday, October 3 and Saturday, October 5. First kick is slated for 7 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. on Saturday, respectively.
