SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University Belles volleyball team continued to shine, as it swept the Western New Mexico Mustangs, 3-0.
The Belles improve to 5-0 in conference and 13-1 overall.

- Haley Coulter went on a seven point serve run, leading the team to a 15-4 lead in the first set.
- ASU's offense dominated throughout set one, hardly letting Western New Mexico score a point.
- In set two, Meghan Parker also went on a seven serve run to bring the Belles to a 12-6 lead over the Mustangs.
- Chloe Robinson went on a four serve streak to bring the Belles to a 23-11 lead over WNMU.
- In set three, the Mustangs took their first lead of the day with help from Sarah Campoli, bringing the Mustangs to a 10-9 lead over the Belles.
- With some well-placed serves from Lindsey Ledyard and some errors from the Mustangs, the Belles regained the lead at 12-10.
- The Belles and Mustangs battled hard throughout set three with Angelo State taking just enough of a lead to take set three, 25-21.

- Lindsey Ledyard and Meghan Parker helped the Belles offense out on assists, Ledyard having 19 and Parker 12.
- Kailyn Gilbreath dominated on offense, scoring 14 monstrous kills against the Mustangs.
- Makenna Hanssen led the Belles defense in digs having nine total digs, while Ledyard and Parker both had six.

The Belles will travel to Commerce, Texas, to take on the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions on Friday, October 4. First serve is slated for 6 p.m.
