LAWTON, Oklahoma – The Angelo State Rambelle softball team split their double header match up in Lawton, Oklahoma as they defeated the Aggies in game one, 14-7, and lost game two, 8-4.
The Rambelles are now 14-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Game One against Cameron:
Top of the 1
st Inning:
- Paxton Scheurer would get the offense rolling for ASU, reaching first on a fielding error by the first baseman. Courtney Barnhill would step up to the plate and smack a double down the right field line, advancing Scheurer to third.
- Maleya Burns would be hit by a pitch, loading the bases for Angelo State.
- Karina Rocha would step into the batter box and hit a single down the left field line, scoring both Scheurer and Barnhill, giving ASU a 2-0 lead over Cameron.
- Avery Zeigler would hit a home run over the left field fence, scoring three more runs for the Rambelles, extending their lead to 5-0.
- With Keilei Garcia on base, Jade Strother would hit a single into left field, advancing Garcia to second.

- Genesis Armendariz and the Rambelle defense would quickly put an end to the Aggies offense, giving ASU another chance to bat.

- Scheurer would reach first on a fielding error by the left fielder, advancing to second on the throw.
- Barnhill would smack her third home run of the season out of the park, extending the Rambelles lead over the Aggies to 7-0.
- Burns would hit a single into left field, while both Rocha and Madison Fernandez would walk, loading the bases once again for Angelo State.

nd Inning:
- Cameron would score two runs off of a single into left field, but Armendariz would strike the last batter out to end the 2nd inning, 7-2.
Bottom of the 3
rd Inning:
- Armendariz and the Rambelle defense would make quick work of the Aggies offense to give ASU another chance at bat.
Top of the 4
th Inning:
- Zeigler would smack a double into deep center field, scoring Ashlyn Lerma from first base, extending the Rambelles lead to six runs, 8-2.
Bottom of the 4
th Inning:
- Cameron would score several runs and cut the Rambelles lead down to two, with Cameron grounding out to the shortstop to end the 4th inning, 8-6.
Bottom of the 5
th Inning:
- Victoria Vasquez would come in clutch with her pitching skills, striking out the final batter for the final out. Cameron would hit another home run, cutting the Rambelles lead to one run, 8-7.
Bottom of the 6
th Inning:
- Vasquezs pitching and the Rambelle defense kept the Aggies from scoring with the bases loaded to end the 6h inning.
Top of the 7
th Inning:
- Zeigler started the 7th off for the Rambelles, smacking a home run over the left field fence, leading the Aggies by two runs, 9-7.
- Strother hit a double into left field, with Hatty Shope hitting a single and advancing to second on the throw, with Strother advancing to third.
- Scheurer hit a single into right field, also advancing to second on the throw. Shope would advance to third, and Strother would score a run for the Rambelles, extending ASUs lead to three, 10-7. Mykayla Stroud would pinch run for Scheurer.
- Barnhill would hit a single to the shortstop, scoring Shope and bringing ASu to an 11-7 lead over Cameron.
- Burns would walk, advancing Barnhill to second and Stroud to third base.
- Gordon hit a single to the shortstop, advancing Burns to second, Barnhill to third, and scoring Stroud, bringing the Rambelles lead to five runs over the Aggies, 12-7.
- Zeigler and Garcia both walked, keeping the bases loaded for Angelo State and scoring Barnhill and Burns to bring the Rambelles lead to seven, 14-7. Ashlynn Box would pinch run for Garcia.

- Vasquez struck the last batter out, defeating the Cameron Aggies in the first game, 14-7.

- Meagan hill struck out one batter as the other two batters would pop up two fly balls to the shortstop.

nd Inning:
- Hill would strike out two Aggie batters while the third batter would pop up to the catcher, giving Angelo State another chance at bat.
Top of the 3
rd Inning:
- Keilei Garcia started off the third inning for ASU with a solo home run over the right field fence, giving the Blue and Gold a 1-0 lead over Cameron.
Bottom of the 3
rd Inning:
- Cameron would hit a three run home run against the Rambelles, quickly taking the lead from Angelo State at 3-1.
- The Aggies hit a single into left field, scoring another run and extending their lead to 4-1 over ASU.
- Cameron would score another run, extending their lead to four runs over the Rambelles, 5-1. A fly out to center field ended the third inning and brought the Rambelles back to the batters' box.
Top of the 4
th Inning:
- Maleya Burns would smack a single out into left field, and shortly stole second base afterwards.
Bottom of the 4
th Inning:
- Paxton Scheurer would come in relief of Hill, and the Rambelle defense would finish out the fourth inning with a ground ball out at second base to give ASU another offensive chance.
Top of the 5
th Inning:
- Ashlyn Lerma hit a single to the shortstop, showing her speed as she beat the throw to first.
- Hatty Shope hit a single into center field, advancing to second base on the throw and scoring Lerma from first. ASU would cut the Aggies lead down to three, 5-2.
Bottom of the 5
th:
- The Rambelle defense would go three up, three down as three Aggie batters would either ground out to the shortstop of fly out to right field.
Top of the 6
th Inning:
- Courtney Barnhill crushed a ball over the center field fence, cutting the Aggies lead down to 2, 5-3. Barnhill would tie the all-time home run record for Angelo State, tying Kenedy Urbanys record of 46 home runs.
- Burns would hit a single into center field for the Rambelles. Zeigler would hit a single down the left field line, advancing Burns to second base.
- Jade Strother hit a single up the middle of the field, advancing Zeigelr to second and scoring Burns, cutting the Aggies lead even further to one run, 5-4.
Bottom of the 6
th Inning:
- Cameron would hit two home runs, extending their lead back to four runs over ASU, 8-4.
Angelo State would attempt to make a comeback in the top of the seventh inning, but Camerons pitching and defensive play proved too much for the Rambelles as Cameron would defeat ASU in the second game, 8-4.
