#6 Belle Volleyball Sweeps Mustangs Behind Efficient Offensive Performance

Silver City, N. M. - The Belles completed their long weekend trip with a sweep over Western New Mexico this afternoon in a match that included a second-set comeback for the Belles and an efficient offensive performance that saw them hit .374 for the match.

The Belles would commit only nine attack errors, three in each set, as the .374 mark is the best they have posted for a match this season.

Sophia Berg led the squad with 13 kills, not committing a single error in 17 attempts, good enough for a .765 attack percentage. The senior was responsible for 13 of the Belles' 43 kills in the match.

The Belles won the first set with a pair of runs towards the end of the set; the next set saw the Belles comeback from a 19-16 deficit to win the set 26-14; and the Belles went on an 8-2 run in the third and final set to claim it 25-15.

Kailyn Gilbreath assisted a match-high 21 times, also pitching in eight kills and nine digs.

Grace White, Baleigh Allen and Delaney Fuller only committed one attack error each, with the trio hitting .545, .444 and .235, respectively.

Libero Chloe Patton recorded a match-high 11 digs; Jaedyn Woolley assisted 13 times and Caleigh Enax chipped in a service ace to clinch the match in limited time on the floor.

The Belles improve to 19-3 on the season and 12-1 in conference play; they return to action next weekend for their final home matches of the regular season when they host West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico.
