SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 10-ranked Angelo State women's soccer team will take its perfect 7-0 record into the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament as the Belles host St. Mary's on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the ASU Soccer Field.
The Belles earned a first-round bye in the LSC tournament after finishing as the top team in their division. The Rattlers entered the tournament as the fifth-seed, defeating Texas A&M International in the opening round to advance.
LAST TIME OUT:
Angelo State earned a decisive victory over the Dustdevils to close out the regular season, winning 5-0 on the road last Wednesday. The Belles continued to excel defensively, tallying their fifth shutout of the season while
Avery McNeme collected two assists and a goal in the win.

The Belles have now won six straight matches against the Rattlers with their last loss coming during the 2007 season. ASU escaped with a win on the road in the last matchup, defeating StMU 2-1 in overtime earlier this season.
SCOUTING ST. MARY'S:
The Rattlers enter their matchup with Angelo State as the fifth seed in the division, holding a 5-5-0 overall record while going 1-4-0 in conference play. In the opening round of the LSC tournament, StMU upset the fourth-seeded Dustdevils, scoring two goals in the second half to win 2-0.
On the season, the Rattlers have two wins against TAMIU, two against UT Permian Basin, and one win against Texas Lutheran. StMU is averaging 2.5 goals per game, which ranks third overall in the conference but has been shut out in two of its last three contests. The Rattlers scored first against the Belles back on Mar. 17 but allowed a goal in the second half before eventually losing in overtime.
Alexis Lawrence and Kylie Von Holle lead the Rattlers with five goals each while Miranda Narvaez and Gabby Olsen each have eight points on the season, collecting two goals with four assists and three goals with two assists respectively. StMU's keeper Cameroan Koerner has allowed nine goals this season and has tallied 44 saves overall.

The Belles have allowed the fewest goals all season, giving up only two for a goals-against average of .282 which ranks 19
th overall in all of Division II. ASU is also second in the conference with 3.0 goals per game, tallying 21 on the season which ranks seventh overall in DII. Angelo State is tied for No. 1 in win-lost-tied percentage and is one of 14 undefeated teams in all of Division II.
Cindy Rodriguez leads the Belles in points this season with 12, tallying four goals and four assists, followed by McNeme with 11 points and
Gabby Villagrand with 10 points. Villagrand is also the goal leader, tallying five goals this season. In just over 288 minutes in goal,
Bianca Troost has allowed only one goal and has tallied seven saves.
