Rambelles Drop Series Finale versus Rattlers

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State softball team dropped their series finale against St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon at Mayer Field, 3-0.

Three RBI singles by the Rattlers – two in the fourth inning and one in the fifth – proved to be the difference in the contest, which saw the Rambelles only collect five hits.

Keilei Garcia was the only Rambelle to tally a multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 from the plate, while Ashton McMillan, Lindsey Evans, and Ashton Dirner each collected one hit.

Genesis Armendariz started the game in the circle, throwing the first six innings and allowing three runs across seven hits and two walks; she struck out two Rattlers.

Cheyenne Floyd pitched the final inning in relief, allowing one hit and striking out one.

The Rambelles are now 22-16 on the season and 14-13 in conference play. They are back in action next weekend in Silver City to take on Western New Mexico.
