SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The No. 22-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team fell to St. Mary's Saturday afternoon 4-3 at the Rohrbach Stadium Tennis Complex.
With the loss, the Belles move to 12-4 overall on the year and 4-2 in Lone Star Conference play.
The Belles dropped the doubles point early giving the Rattlers a 1-0 lead.
Letizia Corsini and
Dianela Rodriguez fell short at position three, 6-4, while the Rattlers won the other two 6-1 and 6-2.
Dianela Rodriguez gained a singles point for the Belles on line one with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
Eva Schwartz won another point for the Belles after picking up a line three tiebreaking win 6-2, 7-6, 7-5. The final point for the Belles was won by
Christine Jevicky on line four 6-3, 6-2.
The Belles are back in action tomorrow with a match at Our Lady of the Lakes at 10 am.
