Top-Ranked Rams Blank the Dustdevils in 7-0 Win

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The top-ranked Angelo State baseball team tallied a victory on Thursday night, opening the series against Texas A&M International with a 7-0 win at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
 
With the win, the Rams improve to 31-4 overall on the year and 29-4 in Lone Star Conference play.
 
After a scoreless first inning, the Rams pulled ahead with four runs in the second inning, scoring the first on an error before a bases-loaded hit by pitch made added another. The final two runs came in on a single by Jacob Guerrero to make it 4-0.
 
Starting on the mound for the Rams was Aaron Munson who improves to 5-1 on the season after throwing six scoreless innings with only two hits and seven strikeouts. He lowered his season ERA to
 
In the seventh inning, the Rams scored on a wild pitch and an error before Justin Harris doubled to score Kamden Kelton to give the Rams a 7-0 advantage.
 
Jackson Berry throw two innings of relief, allowing two hits with three strikeouts.
 
The Rams and Dustdevils will be back in action tomorrow with a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
