SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team defeated Western New Mexico, 82-44, Saturday afternoon inside of the Junell Center - Stephens Arena.

The Rambelles improve to 16-5 overall and 12-3 in Lone Star Conference action. The Mustangs drop to 2-17 overall and 2-13 in conference play.

- Majik Esquivel opened the game by hitting a three to give the Rambelles their first lead of the contest and they never looked back.
- Free throws by Addy Burns at the 2:32 marker gave the Rambelles a 14-9 lead going into the second quarter.Â
- Madeline Stephens gave the Belles a 27-17 lead their first double-digit lead of the contest.
- The Belles opened the second half on a 15-3 run to extend their lead to,46-21, with 6:03 remaining in the third quarter.
