DeeshanaLynn Tafiti led the surge, blasting a grand slam and plating seven RBIs on the day.
Angelo State earned a 10-0 victory against Central Oklahoma (2-2) and improved to 13-0 for the season, which is the second best start in school history (2003, 19-0). Freshman
Mary Kate McKay improved to 7-0 on the year after she threw a complete-game shutout against the Bronchos.
ASU put its mark on the game offensively with a six-run seventh inning. Already leading 6-0,
Alix Dean hit her sixth double of the season to bring home
Chelsey Walters and
Morgan Spearman. Tafiti then singled through the left side to plate two more runs.
“We're playing at midseason form right now,” said Angelo State head coach

In their first game of the day, the 'Belles would run-rule Ouachita Baptist, 9-1.
Jessica Newsome had her best outing of the season, throwing a complete-game one hitter and allowing just one earned run.
Offensively, Angelo State struck in the bottom of the third, posting five runs on four hits against the Tigers (2-3). With the bases loaded, Dean hit an RBI single up the middle to advance the runners and give ASU an early 1-0 lead. Tafiti then stepped into the box and hit her league-best fourth home run to clear the bases and extend the lead, 5-1.
