SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State softball team hits the road for a double header with UT-Permian Basin tomorrow in Odessa with games starting at 2 p.m.
The Rambelles (13-5) are winners of their last four games and are 4-0 on the road this season. This will be the second and third times ASU has seen the Falcons. The teams first played during the ASU George McCorkle Classic with the Rambelles winning 4-2.
Morgan Spearman went three-for-three with two doubles in the game.
Sandra Serna struck out seven and only gave up two runs in the win.
Spearman is the Rambelles leading hitter with a .472 average and a .774 slugging percentage. The junior has seven double and three home runs.
Lauren Smith has 21 RBI's to lead ASU along with a .423 average.
During the four-game stretch of wins the Rambelles are hitting .430 collectively with Smith hitting an outstanding .727 average and
Rachel Moore belting .692 with nine RBI's.
UT-Permian Basin brings a record of 3-15 and it will be the home opener for the Falcons. Chelsey Morgan is the team's leading hitter with a .327 average.
