WICHITA FALLS – Abbie Lynn and
Zoey Hanrahan combined for 32 kills and
Shelby Wilt produced 25 digs to help lead the No. 25-ranked Angelo State volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-14, 25-19) Lone Star Conference win over Midwestern State on Saturday at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Wilt, who is Angelo State's all-time digs leader, surpassed a milestone with her performance and now has 2,005 digs in her record-setting career.
Angelo State will take on Harding in a non-conference match at 3 p.m. in Wichita Falls.

The Belles (6-1, 3-0 LSC) owned a 105-78 dig advantage over the Mustangs (4-3, 0-2 LSC) with
Kelly Hasbrouck and
Katie MacLeay adding 14 digs each and
Alexa Johnson providing 13 digs to go along with her 48 assists from the setter position. Lynn led the ASU attack with a career-high 18 kills, while Hanrahan contributed 14 kills and led the team with a .478 attacking percentage.
"It was a good win for us," ASU head coach
Chuck Waddington said. "We made some good mid-match adjustments to secure the win. We are still improving."
Mallory Blauser added nine kills and
Cerbi Ritchey had seven kills and five digs in the ASU win. Blauser and
Daeleigh Castile led the Belles with three blocks each, while Lynn and Hanrahan had two apiece. Blauser's kill total against the Mustangs took her season total to 101 and Lynn is at 75 in her freshman season.
The first set was tied at 7-7 before the Belles went on a rally that had the match at 17-12 in favor of ASU highlighted by three kills from Hanrahan and a kill from Bond. MSU closed to within two at 17-15, but the Belles wouldn't relinquish the lead and went on an 8-2 run to close out the first set which ended on a Castile service ace. After MSU took the second set, the Belles restored order had a 13-5 advantage on another Hanrahan kill. The lead was expanded to double digits at 17-7 on a MacLeay service ace and grew to 22-9 on back-to-back kills from Johnson and Lynn. The set ended at 25-14 on another Lynn kill.
After today's match against Harding, the Belles will return to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday against Texas-Permian Basin in Odessa before returning to the Stephens Arena court for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, Sept. 20 against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
