Scouting the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds:
The Greyhounds are currently 0-4 overall and 0-4 in conference play after losing to the University of Texas Tyler in Tyler, Texas last week. The Patriots outscored the Greyhounds 15-0 in game one, and 11-0 in game two, run ruling the Greyhounds by the fifth innings in both games. Eastern New Mexico returns one of their heavy hitters in redshirt freshman Azalea Martinez, who finished the 2020 season with a .400 batting average, registering 40 at-bats, seven runs, 16 hits, two doubles, four home runs, 10 RBI, and one stolen base before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Martinez is currently batting with a .125 average, and has registered eight at-bats, one hit, and currently has a .125 slugging percentage as well.
 
Scouting West Texas A&M:
The Buffs are currently 12-4 overall with a 0-4 conference record after losing to the No. 5 Texas A&M Commerce Lions in Commerce, Texas this past weekend. The Buffs lost game one 2-, and lost the second game 1-0. West Texas A&M returns one of their big hitters as well in graduate student Alyx Cordell. Cordell finished the 2020 season with a .413 batting average, registering 63 at-bats, 21 runs, 26 hits, three doubles, six home runs, 25 RBI, and three stolen bases on four attempts before the season was cut short to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cordell is currently hitting with a .333 batting average, registering 42 at-bats, 11 runs, 14 hits, five doubles, one triple, eight RBI, and eight stolen bases on eight attempts.
 
Scouting the Belles:

• Mykayla Stroud currently leads the Belles on offense with a batting average of .385 and a slugging percentage of .500. Stroud has registered 26 at-bats, eight runs, 10 hits, one home run, two RBI, and has stolen six bases on seven attempts.
• Ashlynn Box follows closely behind Stroud on offense with a .341 batting average and is ahead of Stroud when it comes to slugging percentage with a .561. Box has registered 41 at-bats, eight runs, 14 hits, six doubles, one home run, 12 RBI, and has successfully stolen four bases off of four attempts.
• Courtney Barnhill is currently third on the team on offense, hitting with a .340 batting average and leads the team in slugging percentage with a .604. Barnhill has registered 53 at-bats, 14 runs, 18 hits, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, 13 RBI, and has stolen seven bases off of eight attempts.
• Makayla Corbin leads the Rambelles from the circle with a 1.50 ERA, ranking eighth in the conference, and is also ranked eighth in the conference for opposing batters batting average with a .206. Corbin has thrown for 37.1 innings this season so far, throwing 25 strikeouts so far this season.
• Genesis Armendariz follows behind Corbin with a 3.23 ERA in the circle, throwing for 47.2 innings. Armendariz has thrown 32 strikeouts on the season thus far.
