Â
A goal from outside the box by Madison Maxey in the 80th minute gave the Belles some momentum heading into the final moments.Â
Â
With under 10 seconds remaining in the game Mia Czarnecki lined up for a corner kick, where she sent one over the box to the backside of the goal where Shaelyn Ward was able to head it in for the game drawing goal with six second left on the clock.
Â
From Head Coach Travis McCorkle:Â "It was a good start for us in the first 15 minutes, we sort of lost grip of it and made some defensive errors. It was a fight we were trying to see who was going to step in and respond. I thought that the highlight of tonight was our subs coming and getting an opportunity and that ended up changing the game for us. Sometimes you want to play pretty and do all these nice things but sometimes you just need to put your head down and work."
