SAN ANGELO, Texas— Two days after picking up their first conference win, the Angelo State women 's basketball team played a complete game to earn conference win number two. They defeated Texas A&M International 82-64 in the Junell Center Saturday afternoon.
The Rambelles improve to 4-3 overall and move to 2-1 in Lone Star Conference play. The Dustdevils fall to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in LSC action.
40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
- Majik Esquivel gave the Rambelles their first lead of the matchup after knocking down a corner three to give the Rambelles a 17-16 lead with 1:24 remaining in the quarter.
- Keniah Williams knocked down two free throws with 30 seconds remaining to bring the Rambelles deficit to two, 24-22, heading into the second quarter of action.
- Esquivel would hit another three at the beginning of the second quarter to give the Rambelles a 26-24 lead with 8:58 remaining in the half.
- The Belles would go on an 11-2 run lasting about three minutes to extend its lead out to 34-26 with 6:45 remaining in the half.
- Landry Morrow knocked down a jumper from the elbow to the Rambelles a 41-37 lead going into halftime.
- Esquivel would knock down her third three of the contest to open the scoring in the second half.
- Kenna Wood recorded her first career points as she knocked down a jumper from the baseline to give the Rambelles a, 60-44, lead with 2:35 remaining in the third quarter.
- A layup from Madeline Stephens would give the Rambelles their largest lead of the contest, 73-50.
- Taylor Grona scored the last points of the contest after she hit a three with two seconds remaining to secure the, 82-64, victory for the Rambelles.

- Esquivel would lead the team in scoring with 16 points to go along with her three assists, and four rebounds.
- Stephens recorded her second double-double of the season after scoring 12 points and recording three assists, and 11 rebounds.
- Keniah Williams would record her third double-double of the season after recording 11 points and 11 rebounds.
- The Rambelles would outrebound the Dustdevils 61-37.
- The Blue and Gold would fall short in the turnover battle, 18-15.
- The Belles shot 33 percent (28-83) from the field, 30 percent 10-33) from behind the arc, and 80 percent (16-20) from the free-throw line.
- The Belles would have 40 bench points compared to the 17 from the Dustdevils.
