The series starts at 5 p.m. on Thursday with a single game before the two teams close the series out with a doubleheader on Friday at 12:45 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rambelles went 4-0 in the George and Ola McCorkle Challenge this past weekend as they defeated Texas A&M International twice and Regis twice. The Rambelles out-scored the Dustdevils 17-1 over the two games and defeated the Rangers in a pair of one-run contests.

Midwestern State is 2-7 on the season; this weekend will mark the first true road games for the Mustangs this season. Last season, the Mustangs went 3-20 on the road.

The Mustangs, just like the Rambelles, opened their season in Conroe at the DII First Pitch Invitational, where they went 1-3. All four of their opponents were teams that the Rambelles have faced this season - Colorado Mesa, Regis, Central Washington, and Rogers State. The Rambelles went 4-1 against those teams, while the Mustangs lost in extras to Colorado Mesa and Rogers State, also dropping to Regis and claiming a win over Central Washington.

The Mustangs split a midweek doubleheader against East Central last week before dropping all three games at their tournament, the Mustang Round-Up.

The Mustangs are hitting .238 as a team, averaging three runs per game. They have scored five or more runs twice this season. They are slugging .292 as a team and have a .280 on-base percentage. Allie Monroe leads the team with a .448 average. She has the team's only home run this season and has driven in 11 of their 27 runs.

The Mustangs' pitchers have a 2.38 staff ERA; opponents are hitting .258 against MSU. Sophomore pitcher Sydney Gonzalez has only allowed one earned run in nine innings out of the bullpen this season. Elizabeth Uhl has an opponent batting average of .254 and owns a 1.43 ERA in three starts this season. Addison Lindemann has 17 strikeouts in 23 innings of work.

MSU's defense has a .955 fielding percentage, tenth-best in the league. They have committed 13 errors and have turned six double plays this season, the most in the league.

LAST TIME VS. MSU
Under head coach Travis Scott, the Rambelles are 43-19 against the Mustangs. The Rambelles have won the last eight contests in San Angelo, dating back to 2016. Last season, the Rambelles won the first two games in the series by 10-1 run rules before the Mustangs claimed a 9-8 win to close the series. The win snapped a 15-game winning streak the Rambelles held in the series.

UP NEXT
The Rambelles close out their longest homestand of the season next week when they host UT Permian Basin on February 20-21.
