Denton, Texas – The Angelo State softball team fell in the series finale to Texas Woman's, 7-1, on Wednesday afternoon at Dianne Baker Field, as the Rambelles could only muster two hits against LSC Preseason Pitcher of the Year Alyssa LeBlanc.

The Rambelles found themselves in trouble early as the hosts scored first in the first inning.

The Rambelles tied the game up in the fourth inning. Averie Gunther led the inning off by being hit by a pitch for the fourth time this series, advancing to third on a pair of outs.

Keilei Garcia singled up the middle to score Gunther and tie the ballgame. The Rambelles' only other hit came on the next pitch after Garcia's RBI single, which was a single by Zoey De Baca.

The Pioneers plated one in the fourth and two runs in the fifth to make it 4-1 before capping the scoring with three more runs in the sixth.

Torrey Hogan got the start and was charged with the loss, allowing six hits and two runs (one earned) in 3.1 innings of work. Cheyenne Floyd pitched in relief, allowing four hits and four runs (two earned) in 1.2 innings of work. Matiw Wolkow pitched the final inning in relief, allowing two hits.

The Rambelles are now 16-6 and 7-5 in LSC play. They return home to face Oklahoma Christian this weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
