AUSTIN, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team were able to get back to their winning ways as they defeated St. Edward's 80-72 inside of the Recreation and Convention Center Saturday afternoon.

With the victory the Rambelles improve to 14-5 on the season, and 10-3 In Lone Star Conference action. The Hilltoppers fall to 9-12 overall and 5-7 in conference action.Â

40 Minute Rundown
- Madi Lumsden scored the first points of the contest for the Rambelles at the 9:19 marker of the first quarter.
- Majik Esquivel gave the Rambelles a 5-3 lead their first lead of the contest.
- It would be back and forth for the remaining of the quarter until Lauren Catherman was able to drive to basket and give the Rambelles an 18-15 lead against her former team.
- The Hilltoppers scored the first four points of the second quarter giving them a 21-18 lead.
- A three from Lumsden at the 4:14 marker gave the Rambelles a 28-27 lead.
- Janiah Perkins of St. Edward's knocked down clutch free throws to give them a 43-41 lead heading into the second half.
- The Rattlers were able to go on a 8-3 run to open the second half to extend their lead to 10, 54-44.
- Madeline Stephens put the team on her back scoring the next 12 points for the Rambelles, to bring the deficit to 61-56 going into the final quarter of action.
- A fast break up from Stephens at the 5:44 marker gave the Rambelles a 68-68 lead their first lead of the second half.
- The Belles went on a 11-4 run to end the game with an 80-72 victory.
