SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State women's basketball team will host back-to-back home games this weekend at the Junell Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. against TWU and Sunday versus Texas A&M-Commerce at 4 p.m.
The Belles (6-15, 1-10 LSC) are coming off a 68-46 loss to Tarleton State. ASU will play four of its final five games at the Junell Center where Angelo State is 3-6 this season. The Belles lead the conference in 3-point field goal percentage defense at 30-percent.
KeAnna Kelly continues her breakout season by scoring double-digits in her fourth-straight game. The freshman scored 14 points against Tarleton State. She is fourth on the team in scoring 6.6 points per game but is averaging 9.2 against conference opponents. The Arlington native has dished out 19 assists and made seven steals this season.
Diamalises Rivera one upped the freshman by scoring double figures in her fifth-straight game and seventh game overall in double figures. The junior scored 10 and grabbed seven rebounds this past Wednesday. The Puerto Rico native is second on the team in scoring at 8.6 points per game but has increased her scoring average to 12.6 against the LSC. Rivera grabs 4.3 rebounds per game as well.
Amanda Weaver, the Belles scoring leader at 9.9 points per game, is scoring 10.2 in conference play. The junior has made 42 3-pointers and is No. 10 on the ASU career list. She is making 36.2-percent from behind the arc.
Shauna Coleman leads the Belles in rebounds at 5.2 per game. She is scoring 7.4 points per game this season and is second on the team with 11 blocks. She has one double-double on the year and seven games in double figures.
Leila Jdily-Ezzad and
Michelle Rosewell have run the point guard position for ASU. Jdily-Ezzad has 24 steals and 11 steals with 4.7 points per game. Rosewell leads the Belles with 41 assists and is second on the team with 22 steals. The lone senior has scored 2.3 points per game.
Keva Raiford has been a spark off the bench. She has 12 assists on the season and made four steals to go along with 1.6 points per game.

Shanna Taylor have all contributed off the bench this season. Â Savic and Herrera have scored 1.6 points per game this season and Saunders is at 1.1 per game.
Texas Woman's enters with a 13-10 record overall and 6-6 in the LSC. The Pioneers had five players score at least nine points in the first game with a 68-59 win over ASU. Emily Spector and Kenesha Saygo lead the Pionners with 11.6 and 11.0 pointer per game, respectively. ASU leads the overall series 31-23 but TWU has taken the last two games.
Texas A&M-Commerce is 12-9 on the season and 6-5 in the LSC. The Lions won the first LSC matchup by a score of 80-57. Five different TAMUC players scored in double figures. La'Tisha Hearne leads Texas A&M-Commerce at 10.3 points per game. The Bellese have a 42-22 series advantage and have won four of the last five.
