Richardson, Texas - The Lone Star Conference announced their Player of the Week awards, and for the first time this season, Angelo State women's basketball graduate student forward
Madeline Stephens earned the Conference's Defense Player of the Week.

In the Rambelles two home games, Stephens gathered nine steals, including a career-high seven against Western New Mexico. Stephens also contributed two blocked shots, and 14 rebounds as ASU held their opponents to a combined 28 percent shooting over the weekend. Stephens also scored 25 points on 12 of 18 shooting over the weekend.Â

With the two wins over the weekend, it keeps the Belles in second place in the West division and among the leaders in the overall LSC standings.Â

The Belles will return to action on Feb. 6th as they take on Eastern New Mexico with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ct.
