SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Belle basketball team kickoff the 2020 season here at home as they face the UTPB Falcons and the Western New Mexico Mustangs to continue conference play.
The Belles are 6-3 overall, and 3-2 in conference.

Since 2007, Angelo State and UTPB have played each other 15 times, with ASU leading the overall series, 9-6. The last time these two teams played each other was on February 23 here at the Junell Center, where the Belles defeated the Falcons, 95-52.
Since 2013, the Belles and the Mustangs have played each other eight times, with ASU leading the overall series 7-1. The last time these two opponents faced off against each other was on February 21, 2019, where Angelo State defeated Western New Mexico 88-51 here in San Angelo.

- Catara Samuel continues to be one of Angelo States most versatile players as she scored a combined total of 33 points against the Midwestern State Mustangs and the Cameron Aggies. Samuel shot 33% from the field and 90% from the free throw line, scoring 22 points against Cameron and 11 points against Midwestern State. Samuel recorded four defensive rebounds for the Belles as well as one block, four assists, and eight steals.
- De'Anira Moore maintains her status as the Belles top offensive scorer, scoring 22 points against the Aggies and 15 points against the Mustangs. Moore shot 57% from the field and 50% from the free throw line, as well as registering 20 total rebounds, eight offensive and 12 defensive, five assists, and nine blocks.
- Asia Davis continues to show her offensive capabilities for Angelo State. Davis shot 37% from the field goal line, 40% from downtown, and 50% from the free throw line, scoring a total of 29 points against the Midwestern State Mustangs and the Cameron Aggies. Davis recorded 13 total rebounds from the last two games, five offensive and eight defensive, as well as five assists and two steals.
